Eight more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur on Friday, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 132.
The 8 persons (5 Males and 3 Females) were confirmed as COVID-19 positive at the VRDL, RIMS.
Of the positive patients, 4 persons (2 Males aged 3 yrs each, 2 Females aged 6 and 32 Yrs) are from Kamjong District and are Mumbai returnees. Two persons (1 Male aged 19 yrs and 1 Female aged 20 yrs) are from Imphal West and Ukhrul Districts respectively and are Delhi returnees. The other two persons (2 Males aged 23 and 41 yrs) are from Jiribam and Imphal West Districts and are Deoband and Bengaluru returnees respectively.
They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. Meanwhile 3 persons (1 male and 2 female) discharged from RIMS Hospital after testing negative for COVID-19.
The total number of positive cases has increased to 132 and the active cases stands at 91.
