4 Manipur filmmakers to screen their docus at Indie8 Fest 2023

Four Manipur flimmakers — Borun Thokchom, Oinam Doren, Amar Maisnam, and James Khangembem would be screening their documentaries at the Indie8 fest to be held in Shillong from March 8 to 10.
The topics depicted in the documentaries range from social issues to cultural heritage to environmental concerns.
The fest will also showcase films by several well-regarded independent filmmakers from across the nation.
The festival will feature a master class by the state’s acclaimed filmmaker Borun Thokchom, who is the recipient of the prestigious national award.
Indie8 fest, that is seen as a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with industry professionals, is expected to attract a large crowd of film buffs and critics.
The film festival is organised by St. Anthony’s College, Shillong in collaboration with Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Japan and Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya.
