At least 3 persons, including two women were injured in a grenade blast in Imphal on Tuesday night. The blast took place around 7 pm, at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai
At least 3 persons, including two women were injured in a grenade blast in Imphal on Tuesday night.
The blast took place around 7 pm, at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai under Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West district of Manipur.
The injured have been identified as Y Manihar, M Surbala Devi and N Bidimala. The trio were immediately rushed to RIMS hospital.
They sustained splinter injuries in various parts of the body, however, none of them were critical. All the three are the residents of Hijam Dewan Leikai.
Police, who rushed to spot after the blast, suspected it to be a Chinese made hand grenade that exploded. Investigation into the grenade blast is underway.
