Rider of a bike carrying three young men lost control and hit a tree. The youths died on the spot
It was a tragic start to the New Year as three youths died in a road accident in Silchar on December 31 midnight.
The accident took place in Kalain road.
As per sources, the rider of the a bike lost control and hit a tree. The youths died on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as–Akshay Kumar Biswas, Swapan Das and Kishan Gurung.
Further informations are awaited.
Every year cases of road accidents are reported on New Year’s Eve. However, since last two years the incidents are lesser, because of the strict police restrictions.
Assam Police has been to drive against drunk driving. They have been doing constant checks across the state to ensure that festivals and occasions like New Year’s are accident-free.
