27 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday in Tripura, taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 1,182.
Of the fresh cases, South Tripura district has reported 19 cases, 2 from Unakoti district while West and Gomati districts have reported 3 cases each.
Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that of the 1,279 samples tested for COVID-19, 27 people found positive.
“Out of 1279 samples tested for COVID-19, 27 people found #POSITIVE. The count includes :(South Dist: 19, Gomati Dist: 3, West Dist: 3, Unokoti Dist: 2),” Deb tweeted.
A total of 53,939 samples have been collected in Tripura, of which 52,753 samples have been tested. The number of recoveries in the state stands at 657.
