Body of Pump Operator with Eyes Gouged Out Found Near ONGC Complex in West Tripura

According to a police official from Amtali police station, the deceased, a 58-year-old man, identified as Bhanu Bhowmik.
Panic gripped the residents of Netajinagar in West Tripura district after a body was found inside the premises of a water pump near the ONGC complex area.
According to a police official from Amtali police station, the deceased, a 58-year-old man, identified as Bhanu Bhowmik, worked as a pump operator at the ONGC complex and resided in the nearby quarters.
Injuries were found in the face of the deceased and it seems his eyes were removed.
A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has reached the site to investigate the matter and determine whether foul play was involved.
Speaking to the media, the police official stated that Bhowmik had recently returned from Chennai after medical treatment.
He reportedly complained of chest pain a day before his death, leading investigators to consider the possibility of cardiac arrest as a cause of death. However, the actual cause will be confirmed following an autopsy.
The gruesome condition in which the body was found has left local residents alarmed and concerned about safety in the area. Authorities are urging the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
