126th Raising Day of Sikkim Police Celebrated, 4 police personnel honoured

CM Tamang said the glorious history of Sikkim Police should be preserved assured full assistance.
The 126th Raising Day of Sikkim Police was held at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok today. Four Sikkim police personnel – Police Inspector, Dawa Pakhrin, Police Inspector Nirmal Rai, Head Constable Nimtok Lepcha, head constable Nirmal Rai and Sub-Inspector Purna Subba, were conferred the Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion.
The ceremony was graced by Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Golay. The quasquicentennial Celebration of Sikkim Police also marked the reopening of Paljor Stadium in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister PS Tamang said that the glorious history of Sikkim Police should be preserved along with law and order, adding the state government is always ready to help the Sikkim Police.
To Commemorate the 126th raising day of Sikkim Police, many programmes and events were held at the Bhaichung Stadium in Namchi on November 27. Traffic Riders and Sikkim Police Fire Service Bikers performed a ride show to mark the celebrations.
