10 Arunachal atheletes to represent India at 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship-2024

10 athletes from the state have been selected by the Ju-Jitsu Association of India to represent India in the 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship-2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from May 1

As many as 10 athletes from Arunachal Pradesh would be representing India in the 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship-2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from May 1 to May 8.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the athletes who have been selected by the Ju-Jitsu Association of India. CM Khandu expressing his happiness over the achievement termed it a moment of pride for the people of the state.

Taking to X, cm Khandu wrote, “Wishing ‘Jeet’ to Ju-Jitsu team!
Moment of pride for us as 10 athletes from Arunachal Pradesh, selected by the Ju-Jitsu Association of India, will be representing the country in the 8th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship-2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from May 1 to 8.

The selected players include – Gichek Bhai, Langkung Rade, Tap Menia, Dongda Taruk, Sangha Tader, Byabang Bhupai, Langkung Adam, Langkung Duta, Langkung Meying, and Nangbia Tader.
The 8th Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championship is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The 8th Jiu-Jitsu Asain Championship will see the participation of 30 countries, including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Chinese Taipe, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, the Philippines, and South Korea. Additionally, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen, and the host country, the UAE.
