Pradyot Kishore Debbarma said the shutdown must convey a strong message to Centre regarding a Constitutional Solution
The decision comes days after Debbarma and some other leaders of the party met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to discuss their demand for 'Greater Tipraland'. "
The demand for a constitutional solution by the Tipra Motha on the other hand, is part of its original demand for a Greater Tipraland
Debbarma also slammed the ruling BJP government over the promises it made in TTAADC areas prior to the Assembly polls
CM Sarma said that BJP is ready to talk about all issues but no division of the state would be allowed
On being asked about a pre-poll alliance, Debbarma said, "Once they give us a written assurance, any party can have a talk with us"
Is Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance or the TIPRA Motha and the BJP set to arrive at an understanding on the former's demand for Greater Tipraland?
