On Thursday, the Tripura BJP released the party’s manifesto in the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda

Tripura Motha Chief Pradyot Debbarma on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of copying the agendas that the Tipra Motha has been promising the people for the last three years.

Reacting to the BJP’s manifesto, Pradyot said, “They (the BJP) are talking about the same agendas that we have been talking about for the past 3 years. We made the agenda, and they copied us. If we win, we will try to push this agenda from our side.”

Earlier on Thursday, the Tripura BJP released the party’s manifesto in the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Barma, and other senior BJP leaders.

In its manifesto, the party has promised to restructure the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and provide greater autonomy and additional legislative, executive, administrative, and financial powers within the framework of the proposed 125th Constitution Amendment Bill. The party also promised to provide 13 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards, scooters to students, Rs 5,000 in financial aid to Adivasi families, and Rs 3000 per month in financial support to landless farmers.

Under the Balika Samridhi Yojana, every girl child in backward families will get support and two free LPG gas cylinders will be provided to BPL families.

The BJP is contesting all 60 Assembly seats with its ally IPFT in the ensuing Tripura Assembly elections to be held on February 16.
