Minister of PWD and an Independent politician Tongpang Ozüküm won the seat in 2018 Assembly election by defeating former NDPP working president, Alemtemshi Jamir
Angetyongpang Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Nagaland. It is part of Mokokchung District and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.
Minister of PWD and an Independent politician Tongpang Ozüküm is the sitting MLA of the constituency. He won the seat in 2018 Assembly elections 4,607 votes by defeating former Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) working president, Alemtemshi Jamir with a margin of 950 votes. Then in March 2018, Tongpang Ozukum took oath as PWD minister. In 2023 He joined NDPP. He is contesting election from the same seat for the second time but on NDPP ticket.
