Arkakong Constituency & Candidates contesting the 2023 Assembly Elections

In the 2018 Assembly elections, Arkakong constituency was won by Former NPP leader Imnatiba by defeating four-time MLA Nuklutoshi

Arkakong Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Nagaland. It is part of Mokokchung District and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

Former National People’s Party (NPP) MLA and now Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) leader Imnatiba is the sitting MLA of the constituency. Imnatiba is contesting the election for the second time this time on NDPP ticket against the four time MLA Nuklutoshi Longkumer who is contesting the election on NPP ticket. Since the 2008 Assembly elections, Nuklutoshi has held the seat as an NPF Legislator. In 2018, Imnatiba won the seat for NPP by defeating Nuklutoshi. Imnatiba joined NDPP in 2019.
