Assam CM and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma said that it will once again be a BJP man as the Tripura CM

Amid the anxious wait for the final results on March 2 and a day after the exit poll results, Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday that people should not worry or think otherwise. BJP is coming back to power in all the three states – Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland.

“Sobote BJP. Sobote Amar Sarkaar. Kunu Tension nai. (It is BJP everywhere, we will form government everywhere, there is no tension). Kunu tension nai Sobote Amar Sarkar hbo (There is nothing to worry about. We will form government everywhere),” the CM who was one of the prominent BJP leaders taking part in the high decibel campaigning blitzkrieg of BJP in the three election states said at a press conference in Guwahati.
He further said that nothing is going to change. All the three states will have NDA governments like it is now.
CM Sarma, known as BJP’s Chanakya of northeast said that the next Tripura Chief Minister will again be a BJP man. As far Nagaland is concerned, the NEDA convenor who single handedly ensured that lotus blooms in every state of northeast, said that since NDPP is its ally that is contesting 40 seats, the call on who will be the CM will be taken later. BJP is contesting 20 seats in Nagaland.
Regarding Meghalaya too, CM Sarma said that the decision will depend on how many seats BJP wins this time. In 2018, BJP won 2 seats. The 4 exit polls have predicted 2-11 seats for the saffron party in Meghalaya this time.
The poll strategist ruled out any alliance with the TMC and the Congress.
