Hussain, known for his roles in films like ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘English Vinglish,’ responded with good humour

A diehard fan of popular actor Adil Hussain congratulated him for winning a medal in the shooting event at the ongoing Paris Olympics. Well, it was not Adil but 51-year-old Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec who won the silver medal and it was actually a post in jest as both Yusuf and Adil Hussain look quite similar to each other.

The fan of the actor who goes by the name, Mr Credible on X posted a collage of photos featuring both Dikec and Hussain, captioned, “Congratulations sir @_AdilHussain on winning silver at Olympics 2024 for Turkey. Respect.”

Hussain, known for his roles in films like ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘English Vinglish,’ responded with good humour. He tweeted, “Wish this was true. Maybe it’s not too late to start practicing. Since I have the attitude, I just need to work on the skill set now.”

The actor’s light-hearted response quickly gained traction, with many fans appreciating his sense of hummer.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Hussain explained that he didn’t believe the tweet was a genuine mistake. “I don’t believe the tweet was a misunderstanding. It was done deliberately in jest, so I wasn’t shocked when I saw it. Instead, I found it really funny and amusing,” he said.

Adil Hussain is currently appearing in the film “Ulajh,” alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Deviah. The film was released in theaters on August 2.
