Assam’s Lovlina Borgohain among boxers set to leave for Turkey for international training ahead of Paris Olympics

The Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist boxer won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships and obtained a quota for India for the Paris Olympics with a silver at the Asian Games last year in the women’s 75kg.

Mirabai Chanu last competed in the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou and after that in IWF World Cup this year. Prior to that Chanu won gold medal in 49 kg category at Commonwealth Games 2022 held at Birmingham, England.[27][28] She lifted a total of 201 kg in snatch and cleaned and jerk.
