Tripura police apprehends two Bangladeshi nationals

A case has been filed against the detainees, and they were produced before a local court today

In another successful operation against infiltrators, the East Agartala police arrested two Bangladeshi nationals on Saturday night.

Acting on confidential information, a team of East Agartala police led by Rana Chatterjee, the officer in charge of East Agartala police station detained two Bangladeshi nationals from the Chandrapur area last night.

The two individuals have been identified as Muzanur Rehaman and Md Asif, both hailing from the Netrakona district in Bangladesh.

A case has been filed against the detainees, and they were produced before a local court today.

Chatterjee said that the police will request a remand to conduct further investigations into the motives of the individuals and any potential accomplices involved in their border crossing.
