The battle is heating up in poll-bound Tripura, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to visit the state once again tomorrow. Modi is scheduled to address two massive poll rallies, one in capital Agartala and the other at Santir Bazar.
Prime Minister Modi, who is scheduled to inaugurate the new Doordarshan channel for the Northeast to be named Arun Prabha in Arunachal Pradesh the same day, is making a whirlwind visit to poll-bound Tripura.
Incidentally, the Prime Minister had visited the State on the 8th of February and had addressed two poll rallies at Sonamura and Kailashshahar.
With the PM’s visit, security has been beefed up ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Itanagar tomorrow for the launching of DD Arun Prabha, a new Doordarshan channel for the Northeast.
As a matter of fact, DD Arun Prabha will showcase programmes on the diverse culture of the north eastern states. This will be Doordarshan’s second channel for the north-eastern region.
