AL Hek said that he does not believe in exit polls

No party in Meghalaya will win more than 15 seats, said five-time legislator from Pynthorumkhrah constituency and BJP candidate Alexander Laloo Hek.

Hek today predicted a hung assembly and said that the minds of people are different. There are different exit polls and he does not believe in exit polls. According to his personal assessment, no party will win more than 16 seats in the elections in the state. However, he added that this was only his personal assessment so it might not be accurate.

When asked about his thoughts on the meeting that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, NEDA convener, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reportedly held in Guwahati last night to discuss possible ties between the NPP and the BJP, he responded by saying there is no problem with talking to any political parties or leaders to form the government, but that ultimately the party will decide with whom it will form the government. However, if he is questioned personally about this then the answer is, “The party will form a government with like-minded parties that are corruption free with who the party can work together.”

Asked if the party is open to allying with TMC and Congress to form a government, he replied by saying that BJP’s door is always open and it will work with any party that wants to work with BJP to make Meghalaya shine, bright and bring progress.
