The war of words over the border agreement with Assam continues in the hill state, with state government reiterating that there will be no going back on the deal that was signed in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the only thing that remained now was the suevey to be conducted by the Survey Of India in presence of officials from both states.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya opposition leader Mukul Sangma has once again lashed out at the Conrad Sangma led state government over the inter-state border agreement.
Senior TMC leader Mukul Sangma questioned the very concept of give and take in the border deal stating that Meghalaya had not gained any additional land. Mukul Sangma also termed the agreement as flawed.
