The postal department has started the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras to boost small traders and further promote the country’s exports.

“Another innovation that has been bought by the Government of India is Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras, where each post office is an export outlet for the products that are being generated in the rural economy. The post department becomes a very effective medium for integrating the rural economy with the export market at large, and our progress in that has been quite good. We have been booking a good number of articles at Lunglei in Mizoram, Agartala, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh,” the Chief Post Master General said.
