Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma opposes UCC

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has expressed reservations over implementation of Uniform Civil Code in the hill state.
Opposing the move to introduce the UCC, CM Sangma said that the introduction of this law would have an adverse impact on the culture and lives of the various communities that reside in the Northeast.
