Manipur Sangai Fest: Last minute preps underway

Manipur Sangai Fest: Union Tourism & DoNER minister G Kishen Reddy will inagurate 10-day mega tourism event.
The Sangai Festival will be celebrated with great fervour in Manipur as last minute preparations are underway for the mega tourism extravaganza. The tourism industry which suffered a setback during the COVID pandemic period, is expected to get a big boost.
Sangai Festival, which is the biggest tourism event in the state, will be celebrated from November 21 to November 30.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Manipur Tourism department Director W Ibohal Singh informed that Union Tourism and DoNER minister G Kishen Reddy wil be inaugurating the Sangai Festival.
W Ibohal further added that extreme sports, international stalls displaying variety of items and indigenous food stalls would significantly attract visitors.
The 2022 edition of Sangai Festival will be taking place in 13 different locations including different hill districts. The inaugural event will be held at the main venue Moirang Khunou in Bishnupur district.
