Manipur passing through troubled time…..confidence should not shake, says CM N Biren Singh, dismisses speculations of his resignation

While the Manipur CM dismissed reports about his resignation, N Biren Singh said that such misinformation creates panic in the minds of the people.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today once again dismissed speculations surrounding his resignation and said that he has full confidence and will continue to lead the state during these troubled times.
“In such a crucial time, when Manipur is passing through a troubled time, we as a leader, our mind and confidence should not shake. We are having full confidence, self-confidence. We have to guide the people on the right path. If we leave from the power, who will lead them. Manipur will be in more chaos,” CM Singh said speaking to media persons in Imphal.
The Manipur CM also appealed all stakeholders, especially the media not to publish any information without confirmation.
“I earnestly appeal to all the media persons and those who are using the social media, please do not publish any unconfirmed news or information of such type, because when somebody says that the government is going to step down, then people will start panicking. Some people might enjoy, but 90% of the population feel panicky. So, I think we should not spread such kind of information,” the Manipur CM said.
On June 28, during an exclusive conversation with Northeast Live N Biren Singh had dismissed all speculations surrounding the visit of some NDA MLAs from the state to Delhi.
CM N Biren Singh had informed that he had chaired a meet of the MLAs in Imphal the day before (June 27) and it was decided that an appointment will be sought from the Centre soon to discuss the prevailing situation.
Thereafter, the Manipur CM also had ruled out speculations surrounding his resignation.
CM N Biren Singh in fact said that all the NDA MLAs in the June 27 meeting had entrusted him with the responsibility of finalizing appointments with the central leaders so that they can go and let them know about the present situation in the state.
Briefing mediapersons on the sidelines of an event, the Manipur Chief Minister said that spreading such false information creates unnecessary panic in the minds of the people.
Many observed that some of the NDA MLAs from the disturbance hit state was camping in Delhi seeking appointments of central leaders. It was speculated that the MLAs were in the national capital possibly to press for a change in leadership in Manipur.
