Manipur: Minister Nemcha Kipgen, actress Soma Laishram attends PM Modi’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ in Kangpokpi

With the rest of the country, Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency in Manipur also tuned to the Centennial episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship address, ‘Maan Ki Baat,” today (April 30).

The program was organized by the BJP Kangpokpi Mandal in all the 42 polling booths under the Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency.

The ST. Morcha BJP Kangpokpi also tuned the ‘Maan Ki Baat’ at the conference hall of the ADC Sadar Hills under the aegis of the ST. Morcha BJP Manipur Pradesh.

The main event was held at El-Shaddai, the Blessed Home, the residential home of Manipur’s Textiles, Commerce, and Industry, and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen, at Kangpokpi district headquarters.

Apart from Minister Nemcha Kipgen, glamorous Manipuri film star Soma Laishram also attended the event at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.

Speaking to North East Live, Soma Laishram said that it’s her maiden visit to Kangpokpi town, and she feels blessed and extremely delighted to be part of the people of Kangpokpi in tuning the Prime Minister’s Maan Ki Baat.

“Today is very special and memorable for me because, on my maiden visit to this beautiful town, I can also listen to the historic centennial episode of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship address, Maan Ki Baat, with the diverse communities of the town,” Soma Laishram added.

“I am very happy, glad, and honored to listen to the success story of every individual from every corner of the country during the historic centennial episode ‘Maan Ki Baat’ here in Kangpokpi town,” the actress further added.

The multi-talented star, Somo Laishram, who is not only a great actress but also a good singer, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his Maan Ki Baat initiative and for giving more courage and power to the people of the country.

Clad in one of her favorite colors, a black saree, the 2018 Best Actor (female) and the 2022 Best Supporting Actor (female) awardee, Soma Laishram also met with the student community and clicked pictures with the people taking part in tuning to the Mann Ki Baat.

Minister Nemcha Kipgen, along with Soma Laishram, also visited the ST Morcha BJP Kangpokpi, tuning in to the Maan Ki Baat event, where various ST Morcha BJP Manipur Pradesh leaders and Karyakartas took part in the presence of ADC Sadar Hills Caretaker Chairman Haokholal Hangshing.

The huge participants also shouted slogans such as “Mann Ki Baat”, “Modiji Zindabad”, “We Love Modiji,” etc. during the screening of the PM’s centennial episode of Maan Ki Baat at Kangpokpi.

Today marked Prime Minister Modi’s 100th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. To celebrate the day, people from across the nation and various parts of the world, including United Nations headquarters, tuned in to the Prime Minister’s Mann ki baat.

Mann ki Baat hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was first aired on October 3, 2014.
