The NPF which was the first to extend support to the BJP in Manipur has made it clear that it expects over 2 Cabinet berths in the new government.
Following a felicitation programme of the newly elected MLAs, NPF secretary general Achumbemo Kikon said that the NPF is expecting 2 to 3 cabinet berths.
Kikon said it was payback time as the NPF had backed the BJP throughout the five year period during which the saffron party faced many a crisis.
The five Naga People’s Front candidates who registered victory in the Manipur elections were felicitated in Kohima today. The five NPF candidates arrived in Kohima late last night and met NPF president Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu besides other party leaders.
