Speaking to Northeast Live, general secretary of All Manipur Health Services Doctors’ Association, Lolee P. Mao lamented that there have been no major amendments to the Manipur Health Services Rules since 1982. According to Lolee, this has caused a lot of inconveniences for the doctors.

He further contended that the doctors have been deprived of promotion avenues by the government.

Besides, AMHSDA general secretary Lolee. P Mao also questioned as to why the government discontinued enhancement of superannuation to 65 years after implementing the same for almost 3 years since 2017.
