Manipur govt sets up ILP centres in 3 rly stations

Manipur govt has decided to set up ILP centres in 3 rly stations. The move comes after regular train services began from Agartala to Khonsang.

The Manipur government has set up Inner Liner Permit (ILP) counters at 3 railway stations. As per the Manipur govt directive, ILP centres have been opened at Vangaichungpao, Rani Gaidinliu and Thingou railway stations.

The decision to set up ILP counters in the 3 railway stations with the start of regular train services from Agartala upto Khonsang in Manipur since last month. An order was issued in this regard on November.

As per the order, the Officer-in-charge of the Tousem Police station has been authorised for issuing ILP at Vangaichungpao and Rani Gaindinliu Railway stations.

On the other hand, while the OC of Khonsang police station has been authorised by the Manipur govt to issue ILP at the Thingou railway station.

It may be mentioned that Manipur is the 4th state in Northeast to implement ILP. Prior to Manipur, the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system was implemented in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram.
