Sikkim girl Eksha Kerung becomes face of Maybelline New York ad

Eksha Kerung hails from Sombaria village in Soreng Sub-Division of West District in Sikkim. She is a cop, boxer, model and now an actor

Eksha Kerung, a supermodel from the Northeastern state of Sikkim has become the face of cosmetic giant Maybelline New York. The 21-year-old supermodel is featured in an advertisement for the beauty brand alongside Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, badminton champion PV Sindhu, and Singer and entrepreneur Ananya Birla.

Maybelline New York unveiled the new faces of the brand at a grand event in Mumbai yesterday night.

The shoot for Maybelline New York’s new advertisement took place in both Bangkok and Mumbai. Glimpses from the event were shared by Maybelline New York’s India page on Instagram. PV Sindhu joined it online.

While both Ananya and Eksha were dressed in pink ensembles, Suhana Khan showed up in red.

Who is Eksha Kerung?

Eksha Kerung hails from Sombaria village in Soreng Sub-Division of West District in Sikkim. She is a cop, boxer, model and now an actor.

Her journey so far has been an inspiration to many, and her recent accomplishment with Maybelline New York further cements her place in the world of fashion and modelling.

Eksha was fond of acting and modelling since childhood. She is the winner of Miss Sikkim 2018.

Eksha joined Sikkim Police in 2019. After training for more than 14 months, she was selected for the Anti Riot Force of Sikkim Police.

Before joining the Sikkim police she was a national-level boxer who participated and represented Sikkim in many national-level boxing tournaments.

In 2021, Eksha auditioned for the modelling reality show MTV Supermodel of the Year 2.

She made her Bollywood debut with Lakadbaggha, directed by Victor Mukherjee.

Maybelline New York, trading as Maybelline, is an American multinational cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, and personal care company, based in New York City. It was founded in Chicago in 1914 and has been a subsidiary of the French cosmetics company L’Oréal since 1996.
