In a shocking incident, a class 10 student of Mohina High School at Dhamdhama in Assam’s Nalbari district was seriously injured after he was stabbed by one of his classmates on Saturday.

Bitupon Debnath was attacked with a pair of scissor by his classmate Ritul Kalita.

As per inputs, Bitupon said that Ritul had put some sticky glue like substance on his classroom bench. This led to an argument between him and Ritul.

In a fit of rage, Ritul stabbed Bitopan. He suffered injuries in his hands, neck, and back.

He has been admitted to the Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital in Nalbari in a critical condition.

Today’s incident happened even as the Assam Government had made it mandatory to check bags of students in school across the state.

This rule was introduced after a Class 9 student of Padum Pukhuri High School in Assam’s Darrang district died after being punched by his classmate on September 24.
