On Magh Bihu, Assam CM visits State Zoo, drives himself

The CM, known to do things differently, drove himself during his visit to the Zoo.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spent the morning of Magh Bihu visiting the Assam State Zoo and spending time with the animals, enquiring about their well-being and upkeep and directed the Zoo authorities to ensure better management and facilities in the Zoo, improved care of the animals and the flora and fauna. The CM, known to do things differently, drove himself during his visit to the Zoo.

“Drove inside Assam State Zoo premises and enquired about the various ongoing works in the Zoo. Also asked authorities to give a facelift to the Zoo, while maintaining harmony with the existing flora and fauna @assamzoo “, Assam CM tweeted.

Looks like the Chief Minister had a great time with the birds and animals at the zoo.

“Had a refreshing feeling as I visited the @assamzoo, having glimpses of the animals & birds from close proximity. Took stock of the Zoo’s condition in its entire stretch & decided that our Govt will transform it into one of the most attractive tourist destinations of the region.” CM Sarma tweeted.
