As per inputs, a child care staffer took the newborn to the second floor
The atmosphere in Mangaldai civil hospital in Assam turned tense after a newborn baby disappeared from the neonatal ICU room.
The new-born baby, who was born two days ago, was discharged from the hospital this morning.
However, when the family of the baby came to receive the baby, the newborn was not present in the ICU room.
Panicked-gripped family members of the baby searched for the baby everywhere in the hospital, later, hospital management recovered the newborn from the second floor of the hospital.
As per inputs, a child care staffer took the newborn to the second floor.
The family of the baby has alleged that the child care staff has been charging them money every day. The staffer had demanded Rs 300 from the family and when the family went to arrange for the money, the child disappeared.
This incident has raised serious questions on the security of patients and newborns in the hospital. How can a person take the newborn out of the ICU without informing the family?
The incident has created an uproar in the hospital.
