Guwahati Railway police seize gold biscuits worth Rs 2 crore at Paltanbazar railway station

Reportedly, the gold biscuits were smuggled from Manipur to Delhi
In a major breakthrough, the Guwahati Railway Police seized a huge amount of gold from the Rajdhani Express at Guwahati’s Paltanbazar Railway Station.
The Guwahati Railway Police sized 20 gold biscuits weighing 3.20 kilogrammes, worth Rs 2 crore.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested a person named Sharif Alam in connection with the case.
Reportedly, the gold biscuits were smuggled from Manipur to Delhi.
Earlier on Monday, the Assam police busted a gang that was allegedly leaking sensitive information to ISI agents in Pakistan and arrested five people so far.
Police identified ten members of the gang and have so far picked up several people in connection with the raids after running them in several locations in Nagaon and Morigaon districts.
As per sources, the gang was engaged in anti-India activities and had been leaking sensitive information regarding India’s security to ISI agents in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, police have also seized 18 mobile phones, 136 sim cards, one fingerprint scanner machine, one CPU, and several incriminating documents from the possession of the arrested persons.
Meanwhile, police are conducting more raids to nab more people associated with this ring.
