Family members of Faizan Ahmed, the IIT Kharagpur student from Assam whose body was found in a decomposed state in his hostel room on Friday have alleged that their son has been murdered.

As the mortal remains of Ahmed, arrived in Tinsukia today, emotional family members accused the police in Bengal of cooperating with them.

Family members also claimed that injury marks have been spotted on the body of the deceased and called it a “Hundred percent case of murder.”

The family members also demanded intervention by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the case.

It may be mentioned that the decomposed body of 23-year-old Faizan was found in his hostel room on Friday.

He had moved into the hostel recently.
