Assam: 5-year old boy dead after hit by speeding bus in Karimganj, bus vandalized

Angry locals took the streets and vandalized the bus and demanded that the government gives a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased.

In a tragic incident, a 5-year old boy lost his life after he was hit by a speeding bust at Patharkandi in Assam’s Karimganj district. The mishap took place when the victim was going to a shop with his father and was hit by the bus bearing registration number MZ-04-2080.

Meanwhile, angry locals took the streets and vandalized the bus and demanded that the government gives a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased. The angry locals also blocked the road leaving several vehicles stranded.

However, officials of the district administration as well as police rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control. The deceased has been identified as Alam Hussain.
