Assam: 19-year-old kills father for not being allowed to play online games

The accused son is currently in the custody of Kamarbandha police station
In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old boy addicted to online games, allegedly killed his father with a spade after he was stopped from playing. The incident took place in Assam’s Golaghat district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Asaram Karmakar.
It is alleged that Karmakar, who plucked leaves in the plantation, had gone to the garden with his phone.
When Karmakar returned home, the accused son got involved in a verbal fight with him.
At one point, the son killed his father by repeatedly hitting him with a spade.
However, after the death of his father, the son tried to commit suicide, but the police arrested him.
The accused son is currently in the custody of Kamarbandha police station.
Further investigation is underway.
