Assam: 12 child labourers rescued from Sivasagar

A case has been registered at the Simaluguri police station against those who employed child labour

In a massive crackdown on child labour, the Sivasagar District Child Labor Task Force rescued 12 child laborers from the Simaluguri area of Nazira in Assam’s Sivsagar district in an operation.

Out of the 12 children rescued, two are from a farm in Simaluguri, three from the Rajasthan Hotel in Simaluguri, six from the Balighat Parijat Hotel, and one from Balighat Car Washing.

A case has been registered at the Simaluguri police station against those who employed child labour.

Meanwhile, arrangements have been made to keep all the children in a children’s home.
