Assam: 4 arrested in Bilasipara rowdy bikers gang case

The police have arrested the main accused Minhajul Karim and Aakirul Islam who uploaded the video on Facebook

After initially going soft on the rowdy bikers who had knocked off and killed an elderly woman in Bilasipara, Assam and boasted about how they walked out of the police station in 10 minutes flat, the Assam Police arrested 2 members of the ‘Gang of Devils’ bikers on Tuesday night. The police arrested two more who were seen in the viral video.

The police have arrested the main accused Minhajul Karim and Aakirul Islam who uploaded the video on Facebook.

Police picked up Minhajul from Gauripur, and Aakirul was arrested from Halakura.

After the hit and run, the boys had posted a video boasting about their act and police letting them off.

It may be mentioned that earlier on Monday police detained as many as seven persons in connection with the case for questioning.

Dhubri police also detained Karim’s parents, sister and uncle on Monday for questioning.

The ‘bikers gang’ on December 10 had knocked down a 70-year-old woman in Bilasipara.

The elderly woman was grievously injured and even though she was rushed to the nearest hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.

Later, the boys who call themselves ‘Gang of Devils’ shared a video on Facebook boasting how they were caught by the police and let off in 10 minutes and was having party after that.
