2 road accidents in one night in Guwahati leaves 6 critically injured

Members of the Cell visited the MLA's home constituency of Karimganj North on Thursday and interrogated a few people.
At least six people were critically injured in two separate road accidents in Guwahati late last night.
A biker and four occupants of a vehicle sustained grievous injuries in a major road accident that occurred in Guwahati’s Ganeshguri area on Wednesday night.
As per inputs, 4 persons including the driver were in an inebriated state and due to speeding, the driver lost control and collided with a motorcycle before crashing onto the footbridge in the vicinity.
The person riding the motorcycle along with the four youths have been admitted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in critical condition.
In another road mishap which took place at Rukminigaon area of the city late last night, a person was run over by a speeding car as he was crossing the road.
The young man was admitted to Guwahati Neurological Research Centre (GNRC) in critical condition.
