2 drug peddlers enroute to Nagaon from Nagaland held

Acting on specific inputs, 2 drug peddlers were apprehended while enroute to Nagaon in Assam from Dimapur.
Drug peddlers are now adopting new ways to smuggle contraband from one state to the other. The situation is such that these drug peddlers have resorted to impersonating the army.
Acting on specific inputs, 2 drug peddlers were apprehended while enroute to Nagaon in Assam from Nagaland’s Dimapur.
The drug peddlers were using a motorcycle with a sticker of the army embedded in it. However, alert cops intercepted the motorcycle and seized the contraband worth around Rs 70 lakh from the possession of the drug peddlers.
Meanwhile, a further probe into the matter is underway. It may be mentioned that one of the arrested drug peddler’s hails from Laharighat in Assam, while the other peddler hails from Meghalaya.
