Monsoon session of 7th Arunachal Legislative Assembly to begin on Sept 4, Govt to table key Bills

On the very first day of the four-day session, the State government will introduce three key Bills

The monsoon session of the Seventh Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh will begin from September 4 and will continue till 7.

According to the list prepared by the Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly, the State government will table a few key Bills during the session.

The House will take up an ‘obituary reference’ in honour of former Ministers Kardu Taipodia, Neelam Taram and Chow Tewa Mein who passed away in the recent past.

According to the Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona, those bills that received the Governor Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik’s approval will be discussed in the House, and the report of the Business Advisory Committee will also be put on the table.

He stated that a CAG report pertaining to various industries for the year ending 2022 would also be presented.

On the very first day of the four-day session, the State government will introduce three key Bills.

  1. The Arunachal Pradesh (Airport Area Plan and Development Authority) Bill 2023
  2. the Arunachal Pradesh COUn Fees Bill 2023.
  3. The Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax (Amend-ment) Bill 2023.

A private members Bill — Arunachal Pradesh monogamy election eligibility Bill 2023 will be tabled on the second day of the ses-sion.

Governor U. General KT Parnaik had earlier scheduled for a seven-day session to end on September 11. According to sources, the session’s duration was reduced due to of the upcoming G20 Summit, which will take place in Delhi from September 9 to 10 and be attended by the State Leadership.
