Arunachal wins most proactive state award at civil aviation event in Hyderabad

The Arunachal Pradesh government has won the Most Proactive State Award under RCS-UDAN Prtority Areas at Wings India 2024, Asia’s largest civil aviation event.

The award was received by Starlie Jamoh, Director of Civil Aviation from Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, in the presence of other senior officials, at an event in Hyderabad.

The news was shared by Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu on his official X handle. He wrote, “A milestone moment, indeed! Arunachal Pradedh Government has won the Most Proactive State Award under RCS-UDAN Prtority Areas at #WingsIndia2024, Asia’s largest and most comprehensive event, currently under way at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad. The coveted award was received by Shri Starlie Jamoh, Director, Civil Aviation, from Shri @JM_Scindia ji, Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation, in the presence of General VK Singh (Retd), Hon’ble Minister of State, @MoCA_GoI and other senior officials in a grand function held at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad. The award rightly recognises the rapid stride made in #CivilAviation by the state, especially the construction of airports at Itanagar and Tezu, Civil Terminal Buildings at Walong, Ziro, Mechukha,Tuting and Daporijo, and starting the fixed wing flights connecting pasighat, Ziro, Tezu and Itanagar including successful operation of RCS flights. I compliment MoCA, Government of India, Airports Authority of India and @ficci_india for organizing such an important event, bringing all stakeholders together under one roof, discussing India’s robust journey in the civil aviation sector. @PMOIndia. “
