Arunachal govt had decided to declare the APPSC exams from 2014-2022 as null and void as certain irregularities were found when the exams were held
Aggrieved and worried parents of students who had cleared the APPSC exams since 2014 and have got government jobs now, took out a peaceful protest rally in Itanagar against the Arunachal Pradesh government’s decision to declare all APPSC exams held since 2014 as null and void.
The Arunachal government had after a meeting on February 18 with the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) decided to declare the APPSC exams from 2014-2022 as null and void as certain irregularities are said to have been found and not the best practices followed while conducting the exams.
The peaceful rally was staged from Akashdeep Ganga Market to Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar.
The decision to declare the exams null and void was taken after the massive protests by the PAJSC and the public to fulfill their 13-point demand. Of the 13 points, one of the demands was declaring the exams null & void if questions papers were leaked or money taken for the jobs etc.
The demands made by the Parents’ Joint Committee Against Null & Void includes:
• Natural fair, and justice for their children
• Fair and speedy investigation by CBI
• Roll back of null and void
• Protection of hard-earned reputation of government employees
• Save the future of Arunachal Pradesh
Parents’ Joint Committee Against Null & Void is a recently constituted committee comprising parents of the government officials appointed in the recruitment examinations conducted under APPSC from 2014-2022. Their stance on the null and void decision has been made clear and precise and they strongly feel it is unjust to the sincere and hard-earned candidates of the APPSCE 2014–2022.
