He revealed that the suspension comes as part of a broader effort to address the controversy that has recently plagued the organization.

The Arunachal Guild for Cultural Integration (AGCI) has announced a one-month suspension of activities for the Miss Arunachal Organization following serious allegations concerning unsettled accounts and the non-payment of incentives to former Miss Arunachal, Tengam Celine Koyu.

She had publicly accused the organizers of the Kingfisher Femina Miss Arunachal pageant of financial mismanagement, claiming they failed to reimburse her Rs 10 lakhs, as promised.

Speaking to the media, Kipa Kaha, Chairman of the AGCI, confirmed the suspension today. He revealed that the suspension comes as part of a broader effort to address the controversy that has recently plagued the organization.

Kaha also announced that Kipa Niba has stepped down as Chairman of the Organization. Tai Rocket will continue to serve as Managing Director during this period of transition. The AGCI aims to install a new executive team, with an emphasis on including women in prominent roles to enhance women’s empowerment within the organization.

Kaha assured the public that the AGCI will oversee all future events related to the Miss Arunachal Organization to ensure greater transparency and accountability. “Our priority is to rectify the issues at hand and restore the integrity of the Miss Arunachal Organization,” Kaha said. “We are committed to implementing necessary reforms to prevent such issues in the future,” he added.

It is to be mentioned that following Koyu, Mr Arunachal title holders Tumken Sora and Minjom Padu had also came forward with similar accusations against the Mr Arunachal Organization.

Notably, Arunachal Pradesh Regulatory Board of State Events (APRBSE) had taken suo-motu cognizance of the ongoing dispute in August.

The AGCI’s intervention underscores a commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of transparency in the region’s cultural events.
