The Chakma and Hajong communities of Arunachal Pradesh today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the recent cancellation of Residential Proof Certificates for recruitment in Defence services. The protesters also called on Home Minister Amit Shah and submitted a memorandum demanding for the withdrawal of a recent circular issued by the Assam Rifles.
