Arunachal Pradesh: Suspected militants abduct a petrol pump cashier

Another person identified as Mithai Marandi was injured when the abductors opened fire while abducting Dinesh Sharma
Sensation prevails at Momong village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district after a cashier of a fuel outlet was abducted by a group of suspected militants late last evening. The abducted individual has been identified as Dinesh Sharma, who is a resident of Muzzaffarpur district in Bihar. Another person identified as Mithai Marandi was injured when the abductors opened fire while abducting Dinesh Sharma.
Soon after the abduction, Arunachal Pradesh police along with other security forces have launched a rescue and search operation but is yet to make any breakthrough. Meanwhile, injured Mithati Marandi, who is a driver at the fuel outlet has been referred to Dibrugarh in Eastern Assam for further treatment. It has been learnt that the fuel outlet is owned by a politician.
No group has claimed responsibility of the kidnapping so far. Extortion is suspected to be the reason behind the kidnapping. Further details into the incident is awaited.
