No trace of Arunachal youths: Northeast Live at Duiliang

Family members of the duo are eagerly waiting that one fine day both Tikro and Manyu will return. The duo's kin have sought for govt action.

Family members of two youths from remote Duiliang village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district have made a desperate appeal seeking their safe return.
The two youths identified as Bateilum Tikro and Bayingso Manyu have been missing since August 19th when they went to Changlagam area in search of medicinal herbs.

The duo was last seen by last seen by villagers who reside close the LAC on August 24th.

While Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has assured to look into the matter after being apprised of the incident by BJP MP Tapir Gao, family members of the two youths are passing sleepless nights awaiting their return.
Northeast Live travelled to Duiliang village to ascertain the exact conditions that led to the disappearance of the youths.

Northeast Live spoke to family members and neighbours of the missing youths, who made a passionate appeal for the safe return of their wards.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Manyu’s wife with her tearful eyes pleaded the help of the government in tracing her husband, a father of 2-children.

Meanwhile, locals in Duiliang village are apprehensive of the fact that the duo might have inadvertently crossed the LAC and entered China.

Some of them also fear that both Tikro and Manyu are in the captivity of the People’s Liberation Army.

The locals while thanking Northeast Live for the exclusive coverage have appealed the Centre and the state government to consider the matter as a serious issue.
