The Meghalaya Agriculture Students and Graduates Association staged protest at the State Central Library premises demanding recruitment of all the state sponsored quota graduates who have signed the bond cum agreement from 2004-2005 onwards based on seniority within a month.

A delegation of students also met agricultural minister Banteidor Lyngdoh to push their demands.

A member of the association is of the opinion that they have been long denied of their rights and every attempt made seeking the government intervention in to the matter has confined to mere assurances.

He is however hopeful that the MDA government will help them out.

Meanwhile Agriculture Minister, Lyngdoh said that directions have been given to the concerned department three months ago to submit their suggestions and recommendations and a report is expected on the matter within this month.
