Meghalaya: Congress Announces 2nd List of 16 Candidates for KHADC and JHADC Polls

For the KHADC elections, the party has fielded Victor Ranee from Jirang, Micky Dauglas Syiem from Umroi contituency.
The Congress, today released its second list of 16 candidates for the upcoming District Council polls in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) in Meghalaya.
Of the 16 candidates, 11 are for KHADC and 5 are for JHADC.
For the KHADC elections, the party has fielded Victor Ranee from Jirang, Micky Dauglas Syiem from Umroi, Lamborsing Nongrum from Nongkrem, Rilang Nongkhlaw from Langkyrdem Laitkroh, Monarch Shabong from Nongshken, Batskhem Marbaniang from Mawsynram, B Vitus Rymmai from Sohra, George Sun from Mawphlang Diengiei, G Ningstar Marthong from Nongstoin, Kodang Rashir from Mawshynrut and Pherdonnam Rngaid from Langrin.
For the JHADC elections, the party named Bitos Sari for Mukhla Ummulong constituency, Katbanbiang Lamare for Nartiang, Richard Singh Lyngdoh for Mynso Nongjngi, Saron Pasweth for Jowai South and Lalwilliam Thiaite for Saipung Nongkhlieh.
With this, the Congress has announced a total of 42 candidates for the two councils.
Earlier in December 2024, the party announced the first list of 26 candidates- 15 for KHADC and 11 for JHADC.

Elections to the KHADC and the JHADC will be held on February 21, 2025.
