The High Level Committee constituted by the Meghalaya state government to look into the Sweeper Lane impasse has directed the Shillong Municipal Board to restart the inventory survey in the colony.
Talking to the media, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the committee is trying its best to complete the task at hand with all the due procedures.
He also stated that the inventory will be restarted as to know how many legal and illegal settlers are there in the area.
Reportedly, 128 employees of the civic board are staying in the colony. The earlier survey conducted by the municipal board saw most of the houses locked in the colony.
