Based on a preliminary enquiry conducted by the state police, the Myanmar army base near Parva was captured on Thursday by the Myanmar People’s Army, also known as the People’s Defence Force or PDF and the Chin National Army combined.

The Myanmar army personnel have fled their camp, crossed international border at pillars 2 and 4, and reached Tuisentlang village, while more Tatmadaw members are likely to reach the border village.

Police officials said that the 83 Myanmar soldiers are likely to be airlifted from Parva to Moreh in Manipur, as it had been done earlier and handed over to the authorities of the Myanmar junta soon.
